Job description
Growing a healthy merchant pipeline sits at the center of this Business Development Manager role, built around identifying the most promising prospects and turning them into signed accounts. You'll sell Tap's cross border payment solutions and services through cold calling, meetings, networking and events, working every channel available to reach new merchants. Evaluating Tap Payments alongside prospective merchants means answering detailed questions about product capabilities, so technical fluency matters as much as sales instinct. Thorough presentations and proposals get built for each prospect, tailored enough to move conversations toward a close. Once merchants sign on, this role becomes their main point of contact, managing the sales process end to end and keeping a well organized portfolio of key accounts. Collaboration with other sales teams keeps best practices, insights and industry trends moving across the business rather than staying siloed. Negotiation and communication skills get used constantly to close new merchants and handle objections as they come up. Four or more years of role specific experience with an understanding of fintech is expected, and while a degree is preferred, real world experience carries just as much weight. Strong communication in English is required, with Arabic language ability considered a clear advantage.
