The Senior Software Engineer, Google Cloud Generative AI Blackbelt role is a high-impact position within Googleās Cloud AI division, focused on advancing the development and adoption of cutting-edge Generative AI solutions across enterprise clients. This role combines deep technical engineering expertise with customer-facing solution architecture, helping organizations leverage Googleās GenAI, Vertex AI, and Large Language Model capabilities to transform their operations. The engineer will work closely with Google DeepMind, Vertex AI, and product leadership teams to design scalable AI-driven applications and integrate AI models into customer ecosystems. This position suits an experienced software engineer passionate about building intelligent, scalable, and responsible AI systems that deliver measurable value to businesses worldwide.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Google Cloud customers to identify AI-driven business opportunities and address technical challenges.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable software solutions that integrate Generative AI and AI Agent technologies.
- Provide deep technical expertise and guidance in data science, AI model deployment, and system scalability.
- Develop demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions showcasing Google Cloudās AI and ML capabilities.
- Work closely with Google DeepMind and Vertex AI teams to refine AI model integrations and optimize performance.
- Advise customers on best practices for AI system design, architecture, and responsible AI implementation.
- Support developers and enterprise teams in leveraging Googleās Generative Language APIs to build AI-enabled products.
- Collaborate with product management to influence product direction based on customer feedback and technical insights.
- Travel to client sites, conferences, and events to conduct workshops, deliver presentations, and support solution adoption.
- Contribute to documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to expand AI capability across the organization.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in Python.
- Demonstrated experience in data science, machine learning, or AI-driven application development.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalable distributed system design.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, AI Agents, or related intelligent automation systems.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform tools, APIs, and architecture frameworks.
- Experience building end-to-end AI-powered systems that leverage LLMs or conversational AI models.
- Understanding of Responsible AI principles and their application in production environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including research, engineering, and client delivery.
- Strong communication and client engagement skills, capable of translating complex AI concepts into business value.
