Job description
Inside ADIB's Group Information Security Department (GISD), the Cyber Defense Center runs Data Loss Prevention monitoring for the bank, and this Senior Officer post supports the Head of Cyber Defense Center on that work. Most of the effort goes into DLP alerts and events across endpoint, email, web, network, cloud, collaboration platforms and removable media. L1 analysts handle the first pass, then you perform L2 validation and quality assurance, checking classification, evidence and disposition before anything is closed. Confirmed or suspected true-positive incidents go to the Security Incident Response Team, the Privacy/Data Protection Team, the Fraud Investigation Department (FID) and other stakeholders under approved escalation procedures. From there, containment and remediation are coordinated with IT, HR, Legal and the business. Reporting matters as well, with DLP dashboards and management metrics covering alert volumes, severity trends, SLA performance and repeat violations. Expect to tune rules, refine thresholds, develop use cases and support audits, all within ADIB policies, CBUAE requirements and UAE privacy regulations. The post is offered on an outsourced basis and suits someone with more than 5 years in information security, ideally in banking, and hands-on experience with DLP, SIEM and GRC platforms. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC are preferred.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, analyse and investigate DLP alerts and events across all data transfer channels to identify data leakage, unauthorised transfers and policy violations
- Validate DLP incidents handled by L1 analysts through L2 review, checking classification, risk assessment, evidence collection and disposition
- Scrutinise false positives, permitted activities and non-incidents so material events are never closed without sufficient evidence and justification
- Correlate related DLP events across common users, applications, destinations, files and data types to detect recurring or linked incidents
- Escalate true-positive incidents to the Security Incident Response Team, Privacy/Data Protection Team, FID and management under approved procedures
- Coordinate investigation, containment, remediation and closure with IT, business units, HR, Legal, Privacy and Incident Response
- Verify that corrective and preventive actions, including policy tuning, access restrictions and channel controls, are implemented and effective
- Build and maintain DLP dashboards and management metrics covering alert volumes, severity trends, SLA performance and aging cases
- Analyse trends and user behaviour to identify high-risk users, emerging exfiltration threats and monitoring gaps
- Tune DLP rules, thresholds and use cases, incorporating lessons learned from incidents, audits and assurance reviews
- Assess monitoring filters, alert coverage, queues and workflows through periodic end-to-end assurance reviews
- Guide and coach L1 analysts, flagging recurring quality issues and recommending training or procedural improvements
- Maintain DLP documentation, escalation matrices, investigation checklists, audit trails and evidence throughout the incident lifecycle
- Support audits, regulatory reviews and self-assessments, tracking remediation and timely closure of findings
- Ensure DLP monitoring adheres to SOPs, SLAs, ADIB policies, CBUAE requirements and UAE privacy regulations
- Lead DLP awareness campaigns and the testing of new DLP capabilities, integrations, agents and policies
Experience & skills
- Bring more than 5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT, risk or compliance, preferably in banking or financial services

- Show experience performing L2 review, incident validation or quality assurance of security alerts
- Possess experience in evidence review, incident escalation, containment coordination and corrective-action tracking
- Offer experience with information-security governance, control assurance, compliance assessments and audit support
- Have experience preparing DLP and security dashboards and management reporting
- Engage effectively with Security Operations, Incident Response, Privacy, Fraud Investigation, business and technology teams
- Operate DLP, SIEM, incident-management, case-management or GRC platforms
- Understand UAE banking regulations, data protection, privacy and cybersecurity frameworks
- Carry CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC or another relevant information security certification (preferred)
