Job description
The Engineer Operational Metrics is responsible for managing network, service, and subscriber-level KPIs monitoring, reporting, and analytics across all telecom domains to ensure smooth operations. The role triggers campaigns and initiatives to improve overall service performance as measured by subscriber experience, network KPIs, and regulatory benchmarks. The engineer represents the technology team in TRA consultations, validates network performance requirements, performs acceptance and KPIs verification for new network nodes, and proactively engages with BI and customer analytics teams. Responsibilities include reporting, dashboard creation, anomaly analysis, investigations, recommendations, and quality audits of data and reporting.

Key responsibilities
- Manage network, service, and subscriber level KPIs monitoring, reporting, and analytics in all telecom domains.
- Trigger campaigns and initiatives to improve overall end-to-end service performance.
- Represent the technology team in TRA consultations and provide regulation team with network performance related TRA requirements.
- Perform new network nodes acceptance and KPIs verifications prior to handover to operations.
- Engage with Business Intelligence and customer analytics teams to share, validate, and verify data.
- Prepare PM reports, PM dashboards, monitor events, new site KPI verification, TRA requests, and launches.
- Analyze gathered data for performance anomalies and exceptions.
- Design and communicate performance dashboards for internal operational KPIs.
- Produce performance special/ad-hoc reports.
- Investigate and communicate performance issues to concerned teams.
- Provide recommendations for performance improvement.
- Perform periodic data and reporting quality audits.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Leadership and management certifications preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Telecom industry with involvement in Telecom Services Performance.
- Advanced understanding of all telecom domains.
- Advanced understanding of data analysis, visualization, machine learning modeling, and AI applications.
- Proven ability to lead large transformation projects.
- Ability to lead teams and groups.
- Strong negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Proven track record of managing vendors.
- Proven track record in governance and financial management.
- Strong management skills in multi-cultural and multi-national environments.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
