Job description
As a Domain Architect within Cognizant's Consulting division, the role is responsible for leading the strategic design, development, and management of HR and Finance systems architecture, integrating these with broader enterprise platforms. The architect will collaborate directly with HR and Finance leadership to align digital solutions with business goals while maintaining a focus on scalability, compliance, innovation, and security. Core functions include developing and maintaining architectural standards, ensuring integration with enterprise systems, staying abreast of technologies like AI relevant to HR/Finance, managing stakeholder relationships, and advising the Group CIO. The position requires expertise in HR and Finance systems frameworks, ERP integration, and emerging technologies in the construction industry, particularly within the UAE, with attention to local regulations and cultural factors. The role demands strong leadership, a forward-thinking mindset, and the ability to foster innovation in alignment with business strategy. Experience in smart cities and sustainable construction technology is considered an asset.

Key responsibilities
- Design and oversee the architecture for HR systems and align them with business goals
- Develop and maintain architecture for financial systems ensuring compliance and operational support
- Integrate HR and Finance systems with enterprise-wide platforms
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to HR and Finance
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps for HR and Finance systems
- Establish and enforce architectural standards and guidelines
- Monitor and evaluate architecture performance across HR and Finance domains
- Act as key advisor to the Group CIO and Enterprise Architect
- Engage stakeholders and represent domain architecture across functional teams
- Foster innovation and a collaborative technology culture within the organization
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in HR and Finance architecture roles
- 10+ years in IT with 5+ years dedicated to HR and Finance systems
- Experience in UAE market with understanding of local regulations and cultural context
- Strong leadership and cross-functional team management experience
- Expertise in enterprise system integration and architectural frameworks
- Knowledge of smart city and sustainability technologies in construction
- Ability to translate business goals into architectural solutions
- Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
- Adaptability and focus on execution and innovation
