Job description
EVA Pharma is seeking an HSE Section Head to lead Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives within its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Hautat Sudair, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local and international regulations while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization. The HSE Section Head will lead risk assessments and safety audits, provide guidance on best practices, and enhance workplace safety across pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and industrial environments. The position includes conducting HSE training programs for employees and management, ensuring awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures, and monitoring compliance through performance metrics and reporting to senior management. The role requires staying updated on evolving HSE regulations and industry trends, managing incident investigations, analyzing data to prevent recurrence, and maintaining compliance with international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. The HSE Section Head will lead teams, manage HSE programs, ensure environmental management compliance, and implement safety management systems aligned with pharmaceutical industry requirements. The position requires experience in occupational safety, environmental management, regulatory compliance, safety audits, risk assessments, and incident management within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and pharmaceutical manufacturing safety requirements.
- Lead risk assessments and safety audits across operations while identifying hazards, implementing corrective actions, and promoting workplace safety best practices.
- Conduct HSE training programs for employees and management ensuring awareness of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Monitor compliance and safety performance metrics while preparing detailed reports and dashboards for senior management decision-making.
- Stay updated on evolving HSE regulations, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and industry trends to continuously improve safety and environmental practices.
- Manage incident investigations by analyzing root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preventing future occurrences across operations.
- Lead and manage HSE teams ensuring implementation of safety management systems and environmental compliance programs.
- Drive safety culture initiatives and continuous improvement programs across pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
Experience & skills
- Obtain Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field supporting HSE leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrate 5–10 years of experience in Health Safety and Environment roles within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Show proven experience managing HSE programs, leading teams, and implementing safety management systems.
- Possess strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Hold HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH preferred for safety leadership roles.
- Demonstrate experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Show capability to monitor compliance, manage performance metrics, and prepare senior management reports.
- Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills supporting cross-functional safety initiatives.
