Job description
The Back End Developer role focuses on rebuilding a secure, scalable, and modular digital platform within a technology-driven IT environment. The position is fully remote and contract-based, operating from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust .NET Core and .NET 6+ microservices that enable scalable and independently deployable backend services. The developer is responsible for building and integrating secure APIs using Kong API Management, ensuring compliance with enterprise integration standards and compatibility with third-party services, as well as supporting smooth API integrations via Mulesoft. The role requires implementing efficient data access layers and database procedures for Oracle Database, including PL/SQL development and performance optimization, to ensure data consistency, integrity, and high performance. The platform is deployed in a Kubernetes-based on-premise infrastructure, requiring hands-on involvement in containerization with Docker, service discovery, load balancing, and deployment management. CI/CD practices are enabled through Azure DevOps, with full automation and test-driven release processes supported through Git-based source control and pipelines. The developer must ensure security best practices across all services, including JWT-based authentication, HTTPS, encryption, and role-based access controls. The role also includes implementing workflows and business processes using an enterprise process automation and BPM platform, participating in Agile sprints, code reviews, system architecture discussions, and performance tuning, and documenting APIs, backend services, and database schemas in line with enterprise standards to support maintainability and onboarding. Experience working with large, complex government organizations is required, and exposure to real estate services environments is considered an advantage.
