Job description
FIDIC contracts frame most of the commercial work this Senior Quantity Surveyor handles on major building projects for Stantec in Abu Dhabi. Residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare and institutional developments are typical of the portfolio. Cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs and tender and contract documents are prepared by you. Variations, claims, extension of time submissions and additional cost claims need careful evaluation and negotiation. Interim payment applications and final accounts are prepared, submitted and negotiated, while budgets, cash flow and forecasts are monitored closely. Project Managers and Resident Engineers rely on your commercial and contractual advice. Subcontractor procurement and final account settlement also sit with you. Monthly commercial reports keep management informed of risks and opportunities. Candidates bring at least 15 years as a Quantity Surveyor, 5+ of them in the UAE, a relevant degree and ideally experience with major UAE developers, government entities or consultants.
