Job description
Lead the design, development, and deployment of eCommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, providing technical leadership within feature teams. Ensure scalable architecture, best engineering practices, and reliable delivery across full software development lifecycle. Drive continuous improvement, integration with external systems, and mentor software engineers while maintaining high-quality technical standards.

Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for technical design, development, and deployment of complex SFCC solutions.
- Conduct technical design reviews to ensure proper architecture patterns.
- Implement development process automation, lean practices, test-driven development, and blameless incident post-mortems.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues including corner cases.
- Support proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate ideas.
- Contribute to sprint planning, design, and technology-specific communities of practice.
- Mentor software engineers and oversee adherence to coding standards.
- Ensure optimal use of enterprise application platforms, tools, and libraries.
- Perform corrective, adaptive, preventative, and perfective maintenance in collaboration with product teams.
- Integrate SFCC with external systems and Salesforce ecosystem (Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud).
- Ensure multi-site implementation, i18n/localization, performance, security, caching, and accessibility standards.
- Manage multi-environment deployments using CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jira/Confluence.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C) Developer certification mandatory.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering within large, complex organizations.
- Strong full-stack development experience across UI, Middleware, and Databases.
- Expertise in SFCC development, including SFRA architecture and MVC design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with ISML, controllers, models, scripts, hooks, Services Framework.
- In-depth knowledge of SFCC data structures (catalogs, products, pricing, promotions, customer groups, content assets).
- Experience integrating SFCC with external systems and Salesforce ecosystem components.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, AJAX, jQuery.
- Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack and Gulp.
- Knowledge of OCAPI/SCAPI, Business Manager customizations, and API frameworks.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, Jira/Confluence, and multi-environment deployments.
- Experience with multi-site implementations, i18n/localization, performance optimization, caching, security, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to mentor and lead software engineers, review designs, and ensure best practices are followed.
