Job description
The Senior Procurement Manager - Facility Management at Al-Futtaim Group is responsible for leading category strategies for Hard and Soft Services procurement with an annual spend of AED 800M, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, compliance with procurement policies, and driving cost-effective solutions. The role involves strategic planning, scenario analysis including total cost of ownership, supplier identification, selection, negotiation, and performance management, along with optimizing supplier base and consolidating contracts. The incumbent manages cross-functional stakeholder engagement, builds sustainable relationships, implements procurement projects with clear objectives and timelines, and leads a team to achieve efficiency, 100% compliance, and cost reduction targets. Expertise in supplier lifecycle management, ecosystem mapping, procurement systems, and e-catalogue management is required, alongside the ability to influence decisions and foster collaboration across the organization.

- Develop measurable category strategies by analyzing market data, stakeholder input, and organizational needs
- Conduct scenario planning, total cost of ownership analysis, and identify optimization opportunities to achieve 10% year-on-year cost reduction
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements with 100% compliance
- Plan, organize, and manage procurement projects with clear objectives, timelines, and annual process improvements
- Complete talent development plans for team members with 100% completion rate
- Collaborate with stakeholders to balance business needs and procurement strategies, building a project pipeline for upcoming requirements
- Identify cost-effective methods to achieve business objectives, establish Preferred Suppliers, and optimize supplier base
- Lead the Source-to-Contract process, ensuring supplier identification, selection, and negotiation within 45 days on average
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to align with business goals and achieve 90% performance metrics
- Engage internal stakeholders to optimize specifications, align with organizational value, and achieve 85% satisfaction in feedback surveys
- Facilitate creation of cross-functional Stakeholder Committees to influence decision-making and strategic procurement initiatives
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification highly desirable
- 7-10 years of procurement experience, preferably in category management and/or supplier management
- Proven experience in project management and procurement tools
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages a plus
- Expertise in category strategies, total cost analysis, and ecosystem mapping
- Skilled in supplier lifecycle management, collaboration, and performance evaluation
- Familiarity with procurement systems and e-catalogue management
- Ability to influence decisions, manage cross-functional teams, and build long-term relationships
