Job description
Adidas is looking for a Senior Specialist Inbound & Customs to manage the end-to-end inbound product flow from global factories to UAE Distribution Centers and customers. The role ensures timely, compliant, and cost-effective inbound operations by overseeing shipment tracking, customs clearance, service provider performance, and stakeholder alignment. The role requires strong operational and leadership capabilities with attention to customs, documentation, and supply chain visibility. It also involves cost control, strategic project support, and mentoring junior team members.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage timely and accurate inbound shipments from origin to UAE DC or customers
- Oversee scheduling, tracking, and customs clearance processes
- Liaise with service providers, forwarders, and internal stakeholders for seamless operations
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and maintain updated HS codes and SOPs
- Provide visibility and reporting on KPIs including D&D, port pendency, lead times
- Analyze performance data monthly and quarterly to track targets and operational excellence
- Monitor and control freight and customs costs, validate 3PL invoices
- Support logistics projects, tenders, and global initiatives
- Coach team members and support their performance and development
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- 3–4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles
- Expertise in inbound logistics and customs compliance
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Team leadership experience is a plus
- Understanding of international shipping, regulatory compliance, and KPI management
