Job description
MashreqBank is seeking a Manager, Business Planning & Analysis to lead financial planning, reporting, and analytical activities across Retail Banking Group (RBG) products and segments. This role will involve developing annual and strategic plans, providing insightful management reporting, assessing financial viability of new products and campaigns, and driving key strategic projects. The position requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of payments business, and proven leadership experience in financial planning functions within a banking environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Deliver annual segment and product financial plans including 3-year strategic plans
- Coordinate with segment heads to set balance sheet and revenue growth targets
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly management reporting with insights on risks and opportunities
- Conduct financial viability analysis for new products, campaigns, and proposals
- Produce monthly financial packs with P&L by product and segment including variance analysis
- Develop detailed segment and product profitability reports with leading indicators
- Update full-year forecasts and strategic plans based on YTD performance
- Provide objective recommendations on new product and campaign proposals
- Drive ad-hoc projects including system implementations, reporting automation, and due diligence support
- Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 analysts, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
Experience & skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10–15 years post-qualification experience
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in product and customer profitability
- In-depth knowledge of payments business (cards issuing, acquiring, debit cards)
- Proficiency in core banking applications, reporting/analysis packages, and financial reporting systems
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver under strict deadlines
- Experience managing a small team and collaborating across senior stakeholders
