Job description
In this role you will identify and define data collection parameters in conjunction with other disciplines at ADNOC Sour Gas, providing the basis of analysis, modelling, and field extensions. You will design and plan complex studies to identify new prospects and their hydrocarbon systems, develop new play concepts, and create qualified models of the subsurface. You are responsible for appraising models of the subsurface to ensure accuracy and technical integrity, and reviewing and evaluating programs and plans to ensure technical integrity and cost-effectiveness, including drilling, logging, coring, and well testing programs. Your responsibilities include participating in and reviewing proposals for appraisal wells to assess reserves of prospective reservoirs and extensions of producing or developing reservoirs within assigned fields. You will integrate all available local and regional geoscience and reservoir engineering data and carry out reservoir geo-modelling studies using the Petrel modelling tool, incorporating interpretation of structure, depositional environments, facies, and diagenesis to produce a reliable static model of the reservoir. You are responsible for generating subsurface geological models to aid reservoir description including size, shape, continuity, and quality, supporting development planning and production predictions. You will design and complete uncertainty analyses, provide sensitivities for integration into volumetric and reservoir simulation work, and interactively provide the reservoir engineering team with up-scaled reservoir grids. In this role you will assist geological operations and drilling teams with well planning and execution support using Petrel trajectory and tracking analysis, and support real time QC of drilling data including LWD and wireline data. You will update the reservoir model frequently with drilling results to optimize well placement and recommend drilling locations in collaboration with reservoir engineers.
