Job description
As the Director of Strategic Projects and Finance Transformation, you will be at the forefront of shaping the financial future of the organization. This leadership role entails driving high-impact strategic initiatives, with a focus on digitization, financial systems transformation, and operational effectiveness. Working closely with the CFO, the role requires managing complex financial projects, leading cross-functional teams, implementing ERP and BI tools, and enabling a data-driven performance culture. The ideal candidate is an experienced transformation leader who thrives in high-stakes, cross-disciplinary environments and has a strong grasp of finance, strategy, systems, and stakeholder management.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute enterprise-level financial transformation initiatives aligned with strategic goals
- Lead the deployment of automation technologies and ERP systems to digitize finance operations
- Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs and financial performance metrics for hospital operations
- Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, strategy, and operations to manage projects
- Drive analytical projects that support CFO in evaluating mergers, joint ventures, and partnerships
- Track the implementation progress of transformation initiatives and communicate updates to executive leadership
- Oversee budgeting processes and align transformation efforts with financial forecasts
- Ensure data-driven decision-making through implementation of dashboards and BI tools
- Mentor junior staff and instill a high-performance culture across project and finance teams
- Standardize project governance models and ensure risk controls in transformation rollouts
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Masterās or MBA preferred, especially with a focus on strategy or finance
- 10+ years of experience in finance operations, strategy, or business transformation
- Minimum 3-5 years at a senior director or equivalent level managing strategic projects
- Demonstrated leadership in managing digital finance transformation initiatives
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Hands-on experience with data visualization and analytics platforms like Power BI or Tableau
- Proven ability to design and implement KPIs and performance dashboards
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation, and executive communication skills
- Certifications in project management (PMP) or process improvement (Six Sigma) are a plus
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is desirable
