Mastercard is seeking a Director, Specialist Sales to drive SME growth strategies in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on expanding distribution channels beyond traditional issuers and acquirers, partnering with banks, fintechs, telcos, logistics providers, and marketplaces. The candidate will develop and execute go-to-market strategies, create SME-focused solutions, and drive adoption of Mastercard’s products across multiple sectors. This senior leadership position requires strategic insight, SME expertise, and strong business development skills.

Key responsibilities
- Diversify Go-To-Market channels beyond traditional issuers and acquirers
- Develop comprehensive business plans for SME Segment Solutions
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
- Create and refine SME Segment narrative for executive briefings, account planning, and sales engagements
- Partner with Customer Solutions Center and product teams to provide pre- and post-sales support
- Advocate for SME strategy and alternate distribution approaches in customer engagements
- Develop and maintain sales materials, bulletins, and workshop resources via SME Central Hub
- Identify and design differentiated product bundles to support SME digitization
- Lead business meetings, workshop programs, and marketing initiatives to strengthen SME value proposition
- Support partner engagements, RFP responses, and external conference participation
- Distribute thought leadership materials and best practices across teams
- Identify and pursue new SME payment flows to generate incremental revenue
- Oversee Go-To-Market execution and rollout for new solutions and initiatives
- Collaborate with Customer Solution Centers to ensure strategy execution and achieve SME KPIs
- Drive product knowledge through certification programs and workshops
Experience & skills
- Ability to navigate both technical and business-oriented conversations
- Excellent writing skills and experience creating training materials and product guides
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Experience in financial services and payments with knowledge of competitive offerings
- Understanding of international markets, SME banking or SME payment experience a plus
- Strong consulting background preferred
- Ability to create visually compelling presentations with clear logic and structure
- Proven ability to lead initiatives end-to-end with strong time management
- Cross-functional relationship building and organizational networking skills
