Job description
The Senior Analyst – Decision Support plays a critical role in enabling capital allocation governance across ENOC Group, ensuring that all capital investments are financially sound and strategically aligned with corporate objectives. The role supports portfolio management activities, investment governance frameworks, and executive-level decision support for capital projects. The incumbent develops financial models, conducts economic evaluations, monitors project pipelines, and provides independent analysis to senior leadership. Operating within the Oil & Gas sector, the position requires a strong blend of financial expertise and technical understanding to assess upstream, midstream, and downstream investment opportunities while enhancing portfolio transparency and governance processes.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of portfolio management and capital allocation frameworks
- Build and maintain advanced financial models including cash flow analysis, valuation models, and balance sheet simulations
- Screen and prioritize projects using the Project Prioritization Framework
- Prepare periodic portfolio and CAPEX reports for executive leadership
- Assist in gatekeeper reviews, validate business case assumptions, and assess project economic viability
- Monitor macroeconomic and geopolitical developments impacting ENOC’s competitiveness
- Conduct post-investment reviews and identify improvement opportunities in stage-gate processes
- Develop project monitoring systems, dashboards, and KPI tracking mechanisms
- Support governance audits and ensure compliance with established capital project processes
- Coordinate with external consultants and contribute to industry market intelligence publications
- Deliver training on financial modelling tools and ERP project modules across ENOC
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline (Master’s strongly preferred)
- 8–10 years of experience in Finance, Strategy, Planning, or Investment Appraisal
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, or Downstream preferred)
- Strong expertise in financial modelling using bottom-up approaches and valuation multiples
- Experience in portfolio management, capital project governance, or project management is advantageous
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, quantitative, report writing, and presentation skills
- Ability to evaluate projects from both technical and financial perspectives
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory)
