Job description
The Director of Finance & Accounting at Huda Beauty leads the Finance function based in Dubai, overseeing all accounting operations across multiple international legal entities within a fast-growing global beauty and FMCG organization. The role is accountable for the preparation, accuracy, and audit readiness of financial statements in compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other global regulatory standards. The position involves directing accounting teams, managing AR and AP operations, inventory accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, statutory and consolidated reporting, tax coordination, and internal controls. A core mandate includes driving finance transformation through process automation, AI adoption, and advanced financial tools, developing KPIs and dashboards, strengthening risk and control frameworks, and ensuring data security within financial systems. The role partners closely with senior leadership, CFO, IT, tax, treasury, internal control, and external auditors, while providing strategic financial insights related to profitability, cash management, mergers and acquisitions, and global entity performance.

Key responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the accounting team, including performance management, training, and development
- Enhance accounting efficiency through automated reporting, KPIs, controls, and AI-enabled tools in collaboration with IT
- Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, including invoicing, collections, credit policies, and payment prioritization
- Manage inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliations, stock counts, and obsolescence provisions
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for all legal entities
- Prepare, analyze, and publish balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
- Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and variance analysis to monitor entity performance
- Coordinate with tax management on VAT, corporate tax filings, and payments
- Review statutory accounts to ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and propose corrective actions
- Oversee consolidation of financial statements, intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and applicable regulations while maintaining robust internal controls
- Perform periodic controls on key risk areas including vendor banking changes and bank reconciliations
- Manage external audit processes and auditor relationships
- Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership on financial strategy, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements and best practices in accounting operations
- Manage accounting systems, ERP platforms, automated workflows, and data security in partnership with IT
Experience & skills
- Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent with at least 10 years of professional experience
- Demonstrate proven experience managing multiple global legal entities with international exposure
- Possess strong knowledge and practical application of IFRS and GAAP across regions
- Show a proven track record in finance transformation, process automation, and financial systems implementation
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with AI integration and change management in finance functions
- Have experience in FMCG environments and multi-entity group consolidation
- Possess experience with ERP systems and automated accounting workflows
- Demonstrate exposure to mergers and acquisitions and consolidated reporting
- Exhibit the ability to present financial findings and strategic recommendations to senior and board-level stakeholders
