Job description
The Procurement and Logistics Sourcing Specialist supports Emiratesâ Procurement & Logistics groupâcovering aircraft services as well as general servicesâby supervising and supporting a team of procurement professionals and enforcing best-practice Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) throughout the procurement process. The role owns sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation for multiple groups of complex and high-value commodities and services to achieve value for money at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and the best competitive position. Core activities include monitoring suppliersâ compliance with contract terms and conditions, delivering routine attestations and reports, and likewise monitoring Emiratesâ compliance with contractual commitments; administering the contract library with controlled document access and consistent record retention, with a view to establishing a shared repository with suppliers; and facilitating timely problem resolution of contractual issues via coordinated reviews (including Legal and Finance) to minimise service disruptions. The specialist supports the Manager Procurement and Logistics in implementing strategies to deliver lowest TCO, supervises sourcing, pre-qualification and supplier evaluation to match specifications, and advises senior Procurement and User Department Managers. The role independently decides on and authorises supply orders and contracts up to AED 10,000 and, beyond that threshold, prepares analysis, reports and recommendations for higher approval. It supervises the development of tender documents, facilitates cross-functional teams to produce detailed specifications (with Legal, Insurance and User departments), issues competitive tenders (RFP/RFQ), and advises stakeholders on commercial conditions and risk considerations. It leads complex negotiations across commercial and operational needs for high-risk commodities, finalises documentation of commercial terms and operational requirements (contracts), and submits final drafts for management review. The specialist identifies and mitigates unnecessary commercial risk, conducts basic feasibility studies for optimal resource utilisation, implements CRM/SRM programs across commodity/service groups to drive customer satisfaction and supplier development, and generates/reviews activity and performance reports with buyers to ensure efficient section performance and escalate intervention needs. Qualifications include a Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), 3+ years of non-aircraft procurement experience, exposure to supervising major capital acquisitions and service contract tenders and leading negotiations, and strength in supplier sourcing and evaluation. Recommended international qualifications include MCIPS, CIPS, CPP, CSMP, CPSM, and IPSCMI certifications (CIPP, CPPP, CISCP, CICCM, CIPN, CITLP, CISM, CMPO), with Masterâs or Bachelorâs in Procurement, Finance, Engineering, or MBA (equivalency to CIPS or MCIPS dependent on grade).
