Job description
Cisco is hiring a Financial Controller based in Riyadh to oversee Record to Report (R2R) activities, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for its Saudi entities under both US GAAP and local GAAP. This is a senior-level, individual contributor role requiring a native or bilingual Arabic speaker. Responsibilities include audit coordination, financial close, tax compliance, internal controls, and engagement with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Saudi financial regulations, deep accounting expertise, and experience in multinational environments.

Key responsibilities
- Own and ensure accuracy of R2R reporting under US GAAP and Saudi GAAP.
- Ensure statutory and tax compliance for all Saudi legal entities.
- Manage internal controls, ICS, GRC, and SOX compliance activities.
- Coordinate close activities and interact with consolidation teams.
- Act as escalation point for all GAR (Global Accounting & Reporting) issues.
- Handle physical responsibilities such as document storage and bank payment approvals.
- Liaise with external auditors and sign off on statutory financials.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reviews with management.
- Collaborate with FP&A for actual vs. forecast comparisons.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Local Content Score requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and policy updates in response to regulatory changes.
- Lead process improvement and cross-region financial initiatives.
- Ensure coordination with outsourced accounting partners and stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA).
- 8+ years of experience in financial control or accounting in a multinational or cross-functional environment.
- Expert knowledge of US GAAP, Saudi GAAP, IFRS, and local regulatory compliance.
- Fluency in Arabic and English required.
- Strong experience dealing with Saudi financial authorities and audits.
- Proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion preferred.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Understanding of SOX, internal controls, and GRC tools.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and business acumen.
