Job description
Cigna is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and elevate its operational functions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will drive operational excellence through effective governance, strategic planning, and technology integration. The role encompasses oversight of service delivery, customer experience, regulatory compliance, and risk management, while also playing a critical role in shaping the strategic roadmap for the region. This executive leadership position demands a results-driven individual with a deep understanding of KSA markets, cross-functional leadership experience, and a commitment to delivering sustainable value across business units.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day service operations to ensure outstanding customer and client experiences in KSA.
- Oversee the development and execution of the multi-year operational strategy aligned with regional goals.
- Manage governance activities, partner delivery quality, and liaison with regional regulators.
- Support the delivery of KSA and MEA strategic priorities through cross-functional project leadership.
- Establish, test, and maintain system disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Oversee risk management practices to ensure compliance and support sustainable growth.
- Champion technology initiatives that support integration, efficiency, and profitability.
- Advise the Executive Committee on governance, operational issues, and business strategy.
- Foster collaboration across departments and geographies in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
- Ensure alignment of customer experience programs like the Voice of the Customer.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10ā15 years of industry and leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or insurance.
- Experience leading in a matrixed multinational environment.
- Strong background in strategic planning, project management, and governance.
- Proven track record in operational leadership, risk management, and regulatory affairs.
- Ability to travel 25% or more across KSA and GCC.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced data analysis and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience fostering inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to talent development and organizational excellence.
