Job description
The Data Protection Manager is responsible for leading the organizationās data protection and privacy strategy, ensuring compliance with Saudi PDPL and international privacy frameworks. The role involves implementing governance frameworks, managing regulatory engagement, and embedding a privacy-first culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide data protection framework
- Ensure compliance with PDPL, GDPR, and other global regulations
- Lead data governance initiatives including classification and retention policies
- Implement privacy-by-design principles across products and services
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and gap analyses
- Manage cross-border data transfer compliance and localization requirements
- Oversee data subject rights and privacy complaint management
- Lead data breach response and incident management programs
- Serve as primary contact with regulatory authorities including SDAIA
- Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior leadership
- Collaborate with legal, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Strong knowledge of Saudi PDPL and global privacy regulations
- Several years of experience in data protection, privacy, or compliance roles
- Experience in regulated industries (FinTech, Banking, Healthcare, Technology)
- Experience leading enterprise-wide privacy programs
- Strong stakeholder and regulatory engagement experience
- Experience managing data breaches and incident response
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English
