Job description
The role sits within EYâs Global Compliance and Reporting function in the ACR tax service line and focuses on delivering integrated, consistent, quality tax compliance and reporting services across the region. The mandate includes assisting clients in financial digital processes such as preparation and interpretation of year-end closings, audit assistance, financial statements, general accounting, credit control and internal optimization projects. The role is responsible for tax compliance including corporate tax returns and VAT returns, as well as management reports, budgeting, analytical bookkeeping, financial health analysis, and competitorsâ analysis. The position involves handling day-to-day engagement requirements, monitoring progress and deliverables, implementing standardized processes, anticipating and identifying risks, resolving or escalating issues, and driving performance-improvement solutions. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to Tax Quality guidelines and providing clients with a consistent, quality service supported by Financial Reporting Standards, relevant tax rules, procedures and guidelines, and ERP systems such as SAP. The role requires strong experience with multinational clients, ability to work in multi-cultural environments, tax compliance knowledge, financial reporting expertise, and familiarity with accounting concepts, supported by professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA or ADIT.

- Execute general accounting, credit control, internal optimization projects, and analytical bookkeeping
- Prepare management reports, budgeting outputs, financial health evaluations, and competitorsâ analysis
- Manage day-to-day client engagement requirements, monitor progress, and oversee deliverables
- Implement standardized processes across engagements to drive efficiency and improve quality
- Anticipate and identify risks within engagements and resolve or escalate issues appropriately
- Drive performance-improvement solutions across tax compliance and reporting functions
- Ensure adherence to Tax Quality guidelines in all deliverables
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation or related essential fields
- Possess professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or an equivalent certification
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within a large professional services company or similar environment
- Show extensive knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, relevant tax rules, procedures and guidelines
- Demonstrate excellent command of spoken and written English, with Arabic considered an advantage
- Demonstrate experience with multinational clients and ability to work in multi-cultural environments
- Show experience and knowledge of tax compliance, financial reporting and ERP systems such as SAP
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and understanding of accounting concepts
- Exhibit effective organization and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
