Job description
The PMC Piping/Structural Superintendent role within Woodâs Oil, Gas & New Energies business is a senior construction supervision position responsible for managing and enforcing construction scope delivery under FEED and EPC contracts for offshore oil and gas brownfield projects in the United Arab Emirates. The role supports large and complex upstream and midstream offshore projects, including field production upgrades, facility modifications, gas-to-liquids, decarbonisation, and electrification initiatives, aligned with ADNOC Offshore objectives. The position facilitates construction supervision, coordination, administration, and strict enforcement of EPC construction scope to ensure timely work order completion and adherence to project schedules, safety, quality, and cost requirements. Responsibilities span coordination of EPC contractors from construction through commissioning and handover, review of construction and installation plans for constructability and EPC scope compliance, supervision of fabrication works at contractor and subcontractor facilities, and on-site inspection in accordance with ADNOC Offshore policies. The role requires extensive involvement in constructability reviews, module fabrication oversight, pre-commissioning and completion procedures, HSE improvement initiatives, procurement and material delivery alignment, bid preparation support, cost estimation input, and interface management with ADNOC Offshore operations and project management teams. The superintendent provides technical challenge to engineering designs to identify improvements, cost-effective methodologies, and opportunities to reduce hot work without compromising safety, while ensuring full compliance with EPC scope, project procedures, and ADNOC Offshore standards. The position demands deep expertise in offshore piping and structural construction, EPC execution, change management, and construction readiness within complex offshore environments.
