Job description
The Lead OT Cyber Security Engineer at Wood will be responsible for delivering advanced cybersecurity consulting and implementation services for industrial control systems (ICS) in the energy and materials sector. The role involves conducting cybersecurity gap assessments based on NIST, ISA 27001, and ISA/IEC-62443 frameworks, supporting roadmap development for OT cybersecurity resilience, and implementing industrial cybersecurity solutions including firewalls, backup systems, and network security tools. The engineer will lead technical and commercial engagements with clients, support business development through proposals and presentations, and contribute to internal capability development within Wood's Digital Integration service. The position requires collaboration across regional and global teams, hands-on experience with control systems and cybersecurity tools, and active participation in industry forums and knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on development and implementation of OT cybersecurity solutions
- Conduct cybersecurity gap assessments using NIST, ISA 27001, ISA/IEC-62443 frameworks
- Support development and execution of OT cybersecurity resilience roadmaps
- Implement industrial cybersecurity solutions including firewall and network protection
- Engage with client stakeholders and manage technical interfaces with vendors
- Contribute to proposal development, cost estimation, and technical presentations
- Maintain expertise in cybersecurity tools, trends, and standards
- Promote cybersecurity practices internally and externally through forums and publications
- Drive business development initiatives for Digital Integration services
- Provide leadership in standardizing project execution and technical workflows
Experience & skills
- Minimum 15+ yearsâ experience in OT/IT cybersecurity roles
- Experience with cybersecurity management systems and risk mitigation strategies
- Hands-on expertise with industrial firewalls, network analysis, and security solutions
- Strong knowledge of control systems and industrial networking equipment
- Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISA 27001, ISA/IEC-62443
- Proposal and project costing experience
- Strong understanding of plant operations and digital twin architecture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Global project experience and multi-sector knowledge
- Ability to identify, define, and solve client cybersecurity challenges
