The Knowledge Analyst - Operations & Procurement role based in Riyadh operates within the Client Capabilities Office and Centre of Procurement Excellence for Operations, supporting a rapidly growing procurement service line focused on building competitive advantage through world-class purchasing and supply management capabilities. The role involves contributing to end-to-end optimization and total value capture initiatives, including strategic sourcing, global sourcing, supplier collaboration and innovation, procure-to-pay processes, organization design, and capability building across multiple industries such as Banking & Financial Services, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, and Travel, Transport & Logistics. The position supports client engagements by driving workstreams for procurement categories, delivering insights through spend analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling, should-cost modeling, contract analysis, supplier identification, savings idea identification, sourcing strategy development, request for quote (RFQ) management and analysis, negotiation strategy development, and tracking mechanism development. The Knowledge Analyst also supports client proposals and development activities while contributing to knowledge asset development including tools, fact packs, case studies, primers, and procurement knowledge repositories. The role operates across the EEMA region and involves cross-geography and cross-industry collaboration with extensive travel to client locations. The candidate leverages expertise in sourcing, supplier management, category management, costing, negotiations, and purchase order (PO) management, as well as experience with e-procurement tools such as spend analysis platforms, RFQ tools, costing tools, and eAuctions. The role requires proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and analytics or statistical software, alongside understanding economic, financial, and business concepts, contributing to procurement transformation initiatives and sustainable value creation across client organizations.

Key responsibilities
- Drive procurement workstreams for specific categories by conducting strategic sourcing, global sourcing, supplier collaboration, and procurement optimization initiatives aimed at achieving total value capture and sustainable impact across client organizations
- Perform spend analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling, should-cost modeling, contract analysis, supplier identification, and savings opportunity identification to deliver actionable procurement insights for client engagements
- Develop sourcing strategies and manage request for quote (RFQ) processes including vendor communication, bid analysis, evaluation, and negotiation strategy development aligned with procurement best practices
- Support procure-to-pay optimization initiatives by analyzing procurement processes, identifying operational inefficiencies, recommending improvements, and supporting capability building and organization design efforts
- Collaborate with client-serving teams by providing short-term analytical support, procurement insights, category expertise, and data-driven recommendations across multiple industries including Banking & Financial Services, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, and Travel, Transport & Logistics
- Support business development and client proposal activities by contributing procurement expertise, research insights, category knowledge, and solution development for client opportunities
- Develop and maintain procurement knowledge assets including tools, templates, fact packs, case studies, primers, and knowledge repositories to support Centre of Procurement Excellence initiatives
- Engage in cross-geography and cross-industry client engagements across the EEMA region including travel to client locations, collaborating with global teams, and contributing to procurement transformation initiatives
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with preferred master's degree or MBA in operations and demonstrate academic background relevant to procurement and operations consulting
- Demonstrate minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement or consulting including exposure to sourcing, supplier management, category management, costing, negotiations, and purchase order management
- Apply expertise in procurement methodologies including strategic sourcing, global sourcing, supplier collaboration, procure-to-pay processes, and procurement transformation initiatives
- Utilize e-procurement tools including spend analysis platforms, RFQ tools, costing tools, and eAuctions to support procurement analytics and sourcing activities
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and analytics or statistical software to conduct procurement analysis, data modeling, and reporting activities
- Apply knowledge of economic, financial, and business concepts to support procurement strategy development and total value capture initiatives
- Support client engagements across industries including Banking & Financial Services, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, and Travel, Transport & Logistics with procurement expertise
- Participate in cross-geography collaboration and travel to client locations while supporting procurement capability development, knowledge asset creation, and client service delivery
