Job description
The Senior Technical Services Engineer – e-Enabling Systems is responsible for ensuring fleet-wide compliance with e-Enabling requirements, enhancing airline operational efficiency, and integrating digital solutions across operations. The role requires developing and maintaining e-Enabling systems for the airline fleet, implementing aircraft-to-ground communications infrastructure, and creating Aircraft Modification Information (AMI) Worksheets to comply with regulatory data security standards. The engineer reviews all technical documentation including SB, SIL, VSB, and MOM issued by aircraft manufacturers or vendors and provides actionable recommendations. The position involves coordination with internal IT teams for managing system security certificates, access controls, and software upgrades within the E-Enabled Ground System (E-EGS). Key responsibilities include end-to-end software configuration management, record keeping, creation and distribution of customized software parts for Entry-Into-Service (EIS), and monitoring fleetwide 'As-flying' configurations to identify discrepancies with the 'As-authorized' status. The engineer evaluates, analyses, and resolves issues with onboard applications, ground software, air-to-ground communications, portable devices, and airplane connectivity. Additional duties include tracking Aircraft Health Monitoring (AHM) for software and connectivity issues, developing procedure sheets and technical instructions, implementing process improvements per the Engineering Manual, and managing projects related to fleet connectivity and e-enabled infrastructure. The role also mandates compliance with ISR policies, reporting incidents, completing ISR awareness sessions, and adhering to information security guidelines in daily operations.
