Job description
This CSSD Technician role, based at Dubai Hills in Dubai, offers the opportunity to engage in a wide range of sterilization and reprocessing responsibilities within a healthcare setting. The technician will be trained across various CSSD functions including decontamination, cleanroom practices, sterile storage, and medical device dispatch, supporting the efficient reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RIMDs/RMDs). Candidates are expected to work within a team-oriented environment, maintain high standards of quality assurance, participate in departmental audits, and contribute to continuous professional improvement.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Participate in CSSD operations including decontamination, cleanroom, dispatch, and sterile storage of RIMDs/RMDs
- Undergo a 6-month training period to fully integrate into the departmental workflow
- Maintain efficiency in reprocessing medical devices to meet hospital needs
- Support departmental performance through teamwork and adherence to procedural guidelines
- Learn and apply Quality Management System standards in daily work
- Assist in mentoring and training other technicians
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule and duties based on departmental demands
- Take part in performance evaluations, audits, and quality assurance activities
- Pursue continuous learning and development opportunities relevant to CSSD operations
Experience & skills
- Diploma or Degree in a healthcare or allied field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or CSSD setting
- Must hold or be eligible for a DHA license
- Strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality assurance
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to flexible schedules
