Job description
The Associate β Strategic Planning & Governance role within Aldar Corporate β Group Technology in Abu Dhabi supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT strategic plans and governance frameworks across the organization. The role focuses on aligning IT capabilities with business priorities while maintaining architectural standards, governance structures, and effective IT performance management across the enterprise. The position involves assisting in the development and periodic refresh of the group-wide digital strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and federated governance principles across multiple entities. The role supports formulation of digital objectives, initiatives, and performance metrics to ensure alignment between business and technology functions. The Associate contributes to annual IT budgeting processes, monitors expenditures, and provides variance analysis with corrective recommendations. The role also includes supporting the development and implementation of digital governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational standards. The candidate assists in organizing governance forums, preparing materials for steering committees, and supporting executive reporting requirements. The role involves contributing to enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks to ensure interoperability and cohesive IT ecosystems across the group. Additionally, the Associate supports IT vendor and contract management activities, including license agreements and SLA monitoring across group entities. The role also includes tracking vendor performance, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, and recommending service improvements. The position contributes to digitization framework development, including ideation through realization of digital initiatives, and supports evaluation of emerging technologies and preparation of business cases assessing feasibility, benefits, and costs. The role also supports change management and communication efforts to enhance adoption of digital initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development and periodic refresh of group-wide digital strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives and federated governance principles
- Support formulation of digital objectives, initiatives, and performance metrics to align IT and business priorities across multiple entities
- Contribute to IT budgeting processes by monitoring expenditures, tracking variances, and providing corrective recommendations
- Assist in development and implementation of digital governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with enterprise standards
- Support organization of governance forums, preparation of steering committee materials, and executive reporting documentation
- Contribute to enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks to ensure interoperability across IT systems and platforms
- Assist in managing IT contracts, vendor relationships, license agreements, and service level agreements across enterprise environments
- Monitor vendor performance, ensure compliance with SLAs and enterprise standards, and recommend service improvement initiatives
- Support digitization initiatives from ideation to implementation across business units within the organization
- Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and preparing business cases including feasibility, benefits, and implementation cost analysis
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate minimum 4+ years of experience in IT strategy, planning, governance, or related enterprise IT functions
- Hold Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to support strategic IT decision-making
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and executive reporting
- Possess strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple governance and planning activities
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in team-based enterprise IT environments
- Show understanding of IT policies, procedures, and operational frameworks within enterprise organizations
- Demonstrate exposure to enterprise IT frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, or similar governance standards
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
