Key responsibilities

• Develops means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities.
• Analyzes information, forecasts sales against expenses and creates annual budget plans.
• Compiles information, analyzes and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
• Analyzes differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for efficient planning.
• Creates annual operating budgets and provides analytical support during reviews.
• Implements appropriate controls to manage business risks.
• Leads development and execution of comprehensive annual business plans.
• Provides ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating department’s sales.
• Produces accurate forecasts enabling business adaptability.
• Leads and influences finance teams with clarity and authority.
• Communicates strategic goals and priorities to subordinates.
• Oversees audit processes and compliance activities.
• Provides leadership and accountability across departments.
• Attends meetings with owners and understands stakeholder priorities.
• Advises GM and committee on financial issues and communicates concepts clearly.
• Manages property working capital and facilitates critiques with management.
• Ensures accurate documentation of profits and losses and timely tax submissions.
• Monitors purchasing processes and performance goals.
• Reconciles balance sheets and ensures compliance with procedures and contracts.
• Manages training, development, hiring, and performance reviews of finance staff.
