Job description
Functions as the propertyâs strategic financial business leader. The position champions, develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brandâs target customer and property employees. The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, creates and executes a business plan that is aligned with the property and brandâs business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.

Key responsibilities
- Develops means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities.
- Analyzes information, forecasts sales against expenses and creates annual budget plans.
- Compiles information, analyzes and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
- Analyzes differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for efficient planning.
- Creates annual operating budgets and provides analytical support during reviews.
- Implements appropriate controls to manage business risks.
- Leads development and execution of comprehensive annual business plans.
- Provides ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating departmentâs sales.
- Produces accurate forecasts enabling business adaptability.
- Leads and influences finance teams with clarity and authority.
- Communicates strategic goals and priorities to subordinates.
- Oversees audit processes and compliance activities.
- Provides leadership and accountability across departments.
- Attends meetings with owners and understands stakeholder priorities.
- Advises GM and committee on financial issues and communicates concepts clearly.
- Manages property working capital and facilitates critiques with management.
- Ensures accurate documentation of profits and losses and timely tax submissions.
- Monitors purchasing processes and performance goals.
- Reconciles balance sheets and ensures compliance with procedures and contracts.
- Manages training, development, hiring, and performance reviews of finance staff.
Experience & skills
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major with 3 years of experience in finance/accounting or related area.
- OR master's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major with 1 year of experience.
- Experience in strategic financial planning, forecasting, and budget creation.
- Knowledge of audit processes, tax compliance, and risk management.
- Leadership experience in finance teams and stakeholder communication.
- Understanding of operating procedures, reporting standards, and P&L accuracy.
- Ability to manage human resource activities including hiring, training, and performance management.
