Job description
The Information Manager at AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is responsible for leading digital delivery and information management for complex, multidisciplinary AEC projects. The role ensures that all project teams adhere to agreed standards, best practices, and ISO 19650 compliance across the project lifecycle, including design, construction, and handover stages. This includes supervising and coordinating information management uses such as 4D construction sequencing, 5D quantity take-offs, extended reality (VR/AR) applications, and the development of Asset Information Models (AIM) with operational and maintenance data. The role also covers project delivery support, proposal/bid assistance, oversight of BEP preparation, model federation, clash detection/resolution, and guidance on technologies supporting site operations, including drones, robots, and satellite imagery. The incumbent collaborates with multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, PMCs, vendors, and clients, while implementing internal process improvements, driving digital initiatives, and maintaining ISO 19650 certification. Strong expertise in BIM authoring tools, model co-ordination platforms, CDEs, data visualization, and automation tools is required, alongside a thorough understanding of construction processes, QA/QC, and engineering principles.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure creation, storage, and publication of digital content according to contract requirements and industry best practices
- Facilitate use of Common Data Environment (CDE) by project teams and oversee adherence to standards
- Prepare BEP documents in line with Employer Information Requirements (EIR)
- Supervise team in clash detection, model coordination, and resolution processes
- Support project delivery through ISO 19650-compliant information management practices across the project lifecycle
- Advise on technology adoption for site operations including drones, robots, and satellite imagery
- Supervise strategic planning and development of Asset Information Models (AIM) with O&M data
- Support COBie, Uniclass, and Masterclass implementation
- Manage digital initiatives to improve internal processes and project delivery efficiency
- Support annual ISO 19650 certification maintenance and provide guidance to project teams
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering
- 9+ years experience in the AEC industry, including minimum 3 years in the Middle East
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in digital delivery and Information Management for complex projects
- Information Management certification from recognized institution (BRE, Operam Academy, RICS)
- Software proficiency and certification in Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Synchro, Fuzor
- Strong knowledge of LOD 350-500 standards
- Experience with contractors and multi-disciplinary design coordination
- Proficient in model federation, clash management, and design co-ordination platforms (Navisworks, BIM Track, Revizto)
- Proficient in CDE platforms (ACC-Build, ASITE, ProjectWise)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (PowerBI) and automation tools such as Dynamo
- Strong understanding of construction processes, QA/QC, and engineering principles
- Proven stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in developing information management documents including BEP, federation strategy, LOIN, responsibility matrix, and clash-matrix
