Job description
Careem is hiring a Senior Sales Associate in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to drive acquisition and commercial onboarding of restaurant partners for Careem Food Delivery. The role focuses on identifying high-potential geographic clusters and restaurant partners, including large chains, medium, and small food outlets, both new to the platform and live on competitors, to expand Careemās market presence. The associate will negotiate and close commercial deals, exclusivity agreements, and consumer promotions while building a competitive edge through targeted cluster-by-cluster acquisition. The position requires a hands-on, tech-savvy professional with strong analytical capabilities, negotiation skills, and a 'hunter' mindset to consistently meet field sales and business development targets. The role operates in a dynamic and autonomous team environment, working collaboratively with local, regional, and corporate teams to align with Careemās mission to simplify peopleās lives and enhance customer experience, with a focus on innovation, AI-driven tools, and e-commerce-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, target, and acquire restaurant and food outlet partners, onboarding them to the Careem Food Delivery network across Abu Dhabi, including large chains, medium, and small outlets.
- Conduct cluster-by-cluster market analysis to identify high-potential localities with dense restaurant populations suitable for Careem Food business growth.
- Negotiate and close commercial deals, exclusivity agreements, and consumer offers with restaurant partners to maximize platform adoption and competitive advantage.
- Build and manage a robust business pipeline by developing new opportunities, pursuing long-tail restaurant partners, and expanding existing relationships.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and corporate teams to align acquisition strategies with Careemās broader Food Delivery goals and operational priorities.
- Leverage technology and data insights to optimize partner acquisition and engagement strategies, utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel, and other tools for analysis and reporting.
- Maintain market awareness of restaurant trends, industry practices, and competitor activity to drive informed decisions and strategic targeting of partners.
- Achieve weekly and monthly field sales targets under pressure, applying creative and technology-driven approaches to overcome resource constraints and deliver measurable results.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree or equivalent education.
- 1ā2 years of experience in field sales, business development, or partner acquisition roles, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in direct and channel sales within the Food/Service Providers or e-commerce sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills for closing commercial deals and exclusivity agreements.
- Analytical mindset with ability to perform geographic cluster analysis, market research, and data-driven decision-making.
- Tech-savvy with a flair for e-commerce and internet-led business solutions.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and demonstrate high energy and self-driven motivation in achieving sales objectives.
- Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi city, restaurant landscape, and customer demographics to inform targeted acquisition strategies.
