Job description
The Project Manager β Infrastructure Works at Hill International leads the delivery of infrastructure projects in the Al Dhafra Region from design through handover. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders while ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. The position emphasizes financial control, risk mitigation, contractual compliance, and strong leadership to deliver complex UAE infrastructure projects successfully.

Key responsibilities
- Lead management of design work and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain the Project Responsibility Matrix (PRM).
- Oversee all project stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and scope management.
- Lead, motivate, and manage diverse project teams including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors.
- Identify risks, implement mitigation measures, and manage scope and change orders.
- Monitor project costs and ensure robust financial reporting.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management, clients, and authorities.
- Attend coordination, progress, and executive meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies.
- Manage contractual administration and liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or Business; MSc/PhD preferred.
- 5β7+ years of experience managing complex end-to-end construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in UAE civil/transport infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and construction methods.
- Experience with FIDIC contracts desirable.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to lead teams, negotiate, and resolve complex issues.
- Hands-on on-site project experience from initial design through handover and completion.
- Strong numerical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and project scheduling tools such as Primavera.
- Ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and implement innovative solutions.
