Job description
Manufacturing and business operations at KDD in Sabhan, Kuwait, run on software and industrial databases that this Software Engineer helps design, build and improve. Architecture and design of scalable systems sit alongside hands-on development, so the role both guides other developers and writes code. Enterprise applications are built in ASP.NET on .NET Framework and .NET Core, backed by MS SQL Server databases with complex T-SQL, stored procedures and careful performance tuning. Reports in SSRS and dashboards in Power BI give departments the data they need. Integration work may draw on RESTful APIs, Python, TypeScript, MES principles and industrial protocols such as MQTT and OPC UA, with Docker and Azure in the toolset. Business process improvements and workflow automation are part of the brief, and code and architecture reviews keep quality high. Department managers, vendors and engineers are regular collaborators. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or IT and 5 to 7 years in software development, with proven ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, SSRS and Power BI experience, fluent English and Arabic a plus.

- Lead and guide software development initiatives while contributing hands-on code

- Debug and troubleshoot application and database issues
- Review architecture and code to maintain technical quality
- Collaborate with department managers, vendors and engineers
- Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
- Add a master's degree (a plus)
- Bring 5 to 7 years of software development experience
- Demonstrate proven experience designing software architectures and enterprise solutions
- Apply strong ASP.NET, .NET Framework and .NET Core skills
- Master MS SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing and optimisation techniques
- Show hands-on SSRS and Power BI reporting experience
- Offer experience in business process improvement or workflow automation (highly desirable)
- Document and present technical work clearly
- Speak fluent English, with Arabic a plus
