Job description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for owning all accounting operations across multiple international entities within a global B2B trading and distribution business executing high-value transactions across international markets. The role manages ERP systems including chart of accounts, cost centres, and entity structures while overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense postings across multi-currency environments. The position includes executing supplier, vendor, and expense payments, maintaining reconciled supplier and customer ledgers, and managing monthly close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities include reviewing expenses, ensuring cost allocation by deal and entity, performing detailed P&L reviews for margin accuracy, tracking cost per deal, identifying margin leakage, and recommending corrective actions. The Accounting Manager builds real-time cash flow visibility aligned to trading cycles, optimises working capital through payment term management, collections, and cash timing strategies, and manages FX exposure including booking forward contracts and monitoring FX gains and losses. The role involves performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, acting as primary finance contact with banking partners, preparing management reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, and managing intercompany accounting across regions. The position also ensures VAT filings, coordinates international tax compliance with external advisors, maintains audit-ready financial records, and improves finance processes, controls, and reporting within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, data-led trading environment.

Key responsibilities
- Own accounting operations across multiple international entities ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage ERP system including chart of accounts, cost centres, and entity structures
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense postings
- Execute supplier, vendor, and expense payments across multi-currency bank accounts
- Manage monthly close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Perform P&L reviews and analyse cost per deal to identify margin leakage
- Build real-time cash flow visibility and optimise working capital
- Manage FX exposure including forward contracts and currency impact analysis
- Prepare management reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Ensure VAT filings, intercompany accounting, audit readiness, and tax compliance
Experience & skills
- Hold professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
- Possess 4 to 8 years of accounting experience in trading, distribution, or multi-entity environments
- Demonstrate experience managing intercompany accounting across jurisdictions
- Possess strong knowledge of UAE VAT and international tax environments
- Demonstrate experience working with ERP systems such as Odoo or similar
- Demonstrate hands-on experience executing payments and managing cash
- Possess strong understanding of multi-currency accounting and FX exposure
- Demonstrate ability to improve cash flow and control costs
- Be based in the UAE with preference for immediately available candidates
- Demonstrate experience preparing management reports and financial reconciliations
