Job description
The Key Account Manager β Life Sciences & Chemicals at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF), part of DHL Group, is a senior-level commercial role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, responsible for growing and protecting a portfolio of multinational Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Chemicals customers by transforming transactional relationships into long-term strategic partnerships. The role focuses on driving revenue and profitability across global and multinational accounts within regulated industries, translating regional sector strategy into a clear country-level commercial roadmap with defined priorities and measurable outcomes. The position requires building and executing structured account development plans aimed at increasing share-of-wallet and securing long-term agreements, while leading complex RFQs/RFPs supported by strong win strategies, differentiated value propositions, and competitive insight. Acting as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal product, operations, and regional/global teams, the Key Account Manager leads Business Review Meetings (BRMs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess performance, manage risk, and identify growth opportunities. The role ensures seamless customer onboarding and operational handover through clearly defined SLAs and SOPs, maintains disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and CRM hygiene, and applies a structured, data-driven approach to KPIs and performance management. In the Life Sciences & Chemicals vertical, the role requires strong understanding of GxP-regulated environments, customer compliance expectations, and experience in selling and managing cold chain solutions including temperature-controlled transport and monitoring. Knowledge of pharma and chemical packaging strategies, lane risk management, and contingency planning is critical, along with the ability to engage credibly with Supply Chain, QA, Procurement, Operations, and senior leadership across multinational, local, regional, and global decision-making structures.
