Job description
The Senior Sales Engineer – Data & AI Security at Veeam is a senior technical pre-sales leader responsible for driving the adoption of AI-powered Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions across the United Arab Emirates market. Following Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI, the role focuses on supporting the Securiti AI portfolio by serving as the primary technical subject matter expert throughout the sales cycle. Working closely with a Securiti Sales Specialist, 3–5 Account Executives, and Veeam Solution Engineers, the Senior Sales Engineer guides customers from initial needs assessment through solution design, demonstration, and proof-of-concept delivery. The position requires deep expertise in data and cloud security, hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP environments, and strong familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards such as GDPR, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001. The role combines advanced technical acumen with strong communication skills to build trust with both technical and executive stakeholders, articulate business value, and ensure seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation in collaboration with product, engineering, and customer success teams.

Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for Securiti AI and DSPM solutions during the full sales cycle
- Partner with Sales Specialists, Account Executives, and Solution Engineers to drive technical strategy and solution positioning
- Conduct customer needs assessments focused on data discovery, data classification, security posture management, and compliance requirements
- Design and deliver customized product demonstrations and hands-on proof-of-concepts showcasing AI-powered data security capabilities
- Lead technical discussions with security, cloud, data, and executive stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives
- Develop solution architectures aligned with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments
- Address customer concerns related to regulatory compliance frameworks including GDPR, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery
- Support technical validation processes and respond to RFPs or security questionnaires when required
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on data resilience, data protection, and AI-driven security best practices
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate significant experience in pre-sales or sales engineering roles
- Possess 10+ years of technical sales experience in security solutions
- Hold 15+ years of experience in Software, SaaS, or Enterprise technical sales environments
- Show strong understanding of data security, cloud security, and AI-driven security frameworks
- Maintain hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Exhibit knowledge of compliance and security standards such as GDPR, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001
- Demonstrate familiarity with DSPM frameworks, Linux, Kubernetes, or cloud-based data systems
- Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud-specific certifications (preferred)
- Be permanently located within the United Arab Emirates to be eligible for the role
