Job description
The Executive - Accounts and Finance role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia within Apparel Group is responsible for supporting and managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls within a global fashion and lifestyle retail organization operating over 1750 stores and 75 brands across multiple regions. The role involves maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, supporting timely closure of books, and assisting in preparation of financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. The position requires handling taxation and compliance responsibilities including GST, TDS, statutory filings, and ensuring adherence to tax laws and accounting standards while supporting internal, statutory, and tax audits. The Executive will manage accounts payable and receivable functions including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, expense tracking, customer invoicing, collections, credit control, and reconciliation of bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, MIS reporting, financial KPI tracking, and cost control measures. Additionally, responsibilities include treasury and cash flow management, monitoring fund allocation, coordinating banking transactions, and working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Tally. The position also requires identifying process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy while supporting strategic financial management to improve organizational fiscal health and long-term sustainability within a retail and lifestyle business environment.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, perform financial reconciliations, and ensure timely closure of books of accounts while preparing accurate financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in financial reporting by preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting management decision-making, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Handle taxation and compliance activities including GST, TDS, and statutory filings while ensuring adherence to tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements and supporting internal, statutory, and tax audits by resolving audit queries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, expense tracking, customer invoicing, collections, credit control, and reconciliation of supplier accounts, customer accounts, and bank statements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing budgets, financial forecasts, variance analysis, and generating MIS reports for management decision-making while tracking financial KPIs and implementing cost control measures.
- Monitor treasury operations including cash flow management, fund allocation, and banking transactions while coordinating with banks for payments, loans, and other financial matters.
- Work on ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, and Tally for financial transactions, data management, and reporting while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency, strengthen internal controls, improve reporting accuracy, and support strategic financial management objectives.
Experience & skills
- Possess 3–4 years of experience in finance or accounting including experience in supervisory or managerial roles within financial operations or accounting functions.
- Hold Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with professional certifications such as CFA or CPA preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting within corporate or retail environments.
- Show experience managing general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of taxation including GST, TDS, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Possess experience using ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar financial systems.
- Show strong understanding of treasury management, cash flow monitoring, and banking coordination.
- Demonstrate knowledge of financial principles, investment strategies, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial management.
