Job description
Honeywell is seeking a Lead Application/System Sales Engineer to drive business development and deliver outcome-based solutions across the Oil & Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical sectors in Saudi Arabia. The role involves leveraging Honeywell Connected Industrial portfolio to address customer challenges, including process optimization, energy efficiency, simulation, blending, and advanced process control. Responsibilities include developing proposals, leading diagnostic workshops, conducting gap analyses, and presenting value-driven solutions to both C-level executives and plant operations teams. The position requires significant experience in plant operations/process, advanced software solutions, and consultative-led opportunity creation. The candidate will act as a transformation agent by standardizing value propositions, delivering sales training, and supporting product development and integration initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Identify customer challenges and drive outcome-based solutions with defined value propositions
- Build a strong qualified pipeline for enterprise pursuits across customer outcomes
- Prepare and deliver presentations for C-level and technical plant manager/process engineering audiences
- Work with sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver proposals aligned with customer objectives
- Develop value propositions leveraging Honeywell Connected Industrial portfolio including APC, optimization, simulation, and AI
- Present and promote developed solutions to customer stakeholders
- Lead diagnostic workshops at customer sites to assess practices, data, and constraints
- Conduct gap analyses, develop recommendations, and present improvement roadmaps
- Support development of standardized value propositions and sales training
- Analyze growth opportunities through product development and partnerships
- Prepare and lead external webinars
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, or Petrochemical industry (plant operations/process)
- Experience in consultative-led opportunity creation and closure with customer stakeholders
- Knowledge of advanced software solutions including Advanced Process Control, Simulation, Asset Management, Expert Systems, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships
- Knowledge of Honeywell and competitor platforms, products, and technologies
- Experience in outcome-based domains like process optimization, reliability, sustainability
- Experience in technical writing and proposal preparation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements and mandates
- Ability to influence in a matrixed environment and communicate across cultural/language barriers
