First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) Relationship Manager – Liabilities role based at Abu Baker Al Siddique Branch, Dubai within Business Banking (BB) under the Personal, Business, Wealth and Privileged Client Banking Group, focused on SME banking to support domestic SME business in Dubai and grow the bank’s liabilities and revenue by acquiring NTB high value clients and enhancing existing high value relationships, increasing wallet share, and driving sales volumes/market share in target segments while embedding key account relationship management and risk policies aligned with FAB practices. Relationship management responsibilities include engaging clients to understand and improve their banking services; cross selling and upselling bank products and services; negotiating with internal clients and structuring pricing of GM and Cash products to customer needs; establishing an efficient customer-focused approach and increasing share of high-end market and quality business within the assigned segment; identifying customer financial needs and deploying bank products and services to fulfil needs and enhance the asset base; providing accurate and timely information on products and benefits affecting customer businesses; keeping customers and prospects updated on new products and services; actively sourcing business and following up sales leads within designated market segments; planning client visits to introduce GTB and GM partners; forwarding sales leads for cross-selling; and coordinating with product managers/specialists to promote bank products. Risk management responsibilities include timely updating of KYC; working with internal departments to cover compliance risk, operational risk and any credit risk exposure; preparing Credit Application (CA), analyzing financial statements and ensuring approvals readiness; ensuring CAs for new clients and renewals are prepared in accordance with bank policies and regulation framework; recognizing early warning signals of unsatisfactory account conduct and pursuing collection of past due loans; assessing financial and business risks involved in lending including company competitive position, strategic direction, management quality and financial profile; performing creditworthiness analysis and recommending appropriate credit limits; proactively managing assigned portfolio risk by ensuring timely renewal of accounts within time standards when required information is available; ensuring compliance with Business Banking standards in structuring and pricing of limits; adhering to internal policies and governing regulations issued by concerned authorities; cooperating with internal audit and risk management to address gaps and respond to audit reports within deadlines; and monitoring money laundering activities and coordinating remedial actions with management. Essential qualifications include a University Degree and proven record of accomplishment driving a high-performance culture delivering customer and financial objectives, with sales management capability and skills in planning/organizing, business assessment for complex structures and facilities with an international dimension, and analytical ability; desirable qualifications include post graduate in Business Management or business administration and knowledge of general and business banking competitive landscape, competitor propositions, and strong SME proposition knowledge.

- Acquire NTB high value clients and enhance existing high value relationships to increase the bank’s liability book and increase revenue
- Engage clients to understand and improve their banking services and understand client requirements to increase the bank’s wallet share

- Keep customers and prospects updated on new products and services and actively source business from prospects while following up on sales leads within designated market segments

Experience & skills
- Hold a University Degree
- Hold a post graduate qualification in Business Management or business administration (desirable)
- Demonstrate proven ability and successful record of accomplishment in driving a high-performance culture delivering customer and financial objectives
- Demonstrate sales management capability and ability to act as a team player
- Demonstrate ability to structure pricing for GM and Cash products and negotiate in dealing with customers and internal stakeholders
- Perform timely updating of KYC and manage compliance risk, operational risk and any credit risk exposure where applicable
