Job description
The Banking Business Analyst role based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia is an onsite, full-time position focused on operating at the intersection of business, technology, and banking operations. The role acts as a key bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, transforming complex banking needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive measurable business value. The position involves close collaboration with banking stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and strategic goals, and translating these into detailed functional and non-functional specifications. The analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting current (AS-IS) and future (TO-BE) processes across banking domains, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance requirements. The role supports the delivery of banking solutions across multiple channels, products, and systems, including Core Banking Systems, Payments & Transfers, Digital Banking Channels, Loans, Cards, Treasury, and Regulatory & Compliance-driven initiatives depending on project scope. Responsibilities include collaborating with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure accurate implementation, participating in UAT support by clarifying requirements and validating delivered solutions, and identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization. The role requires strong use of business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN, or similar, and demands strong documentation and presentation capabilities within fast-paced, onsite banking environments.

Key responsibilities
- Engage proactively with banking stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, operational priorities, and Regulatory Compliance-driven initiatives
- Translate complex banking needs into comprehensive functional specifications and non-functional specifications that are clear, testable, traceable, and actionable for development, testing, and operations teams
- Conduct thorough AS-IS process analysis and design TO-BE process models across Core Banking Systems, Payments & Transfers, Digital Banking Channels, Loans, Cards, and Treasury domains to support transformation and optimization initiatives
- Collaborate closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure accurate implementation of documented requirements, resolve ambiguities, and maintain traceability throughout the solution delivery lifecycle
- Support end-to-end delivery of banking solutions across multiple channels, products, and systems by coordinating requirement clarifications, change requests, and impact assessments
- Participate actively in UAT support activities by preparing requirement walkthroughs, clarifying functional and non-functional expectations, validating delivered solutions against documented requirements, and ensuring successful business sign-off
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within banking operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience
- Utilize business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and BPMN to document requirements, model processes, maintain artifacts, and ensure structured collaboration across stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrate 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking sector, with substantial exposure to Core Banking Systems, Payments & Transfers, Digital Banking Channels, Loans, Cards, Treasury, and Regulatory Compliance-driven initiatives
- Exhibit strong understanding of banking products, banking processes, and banking regulations, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into structured business and functional specifications
- Show proven experience in requirements gathering, requirements documentation, stakeholder management, AS-IS process analysis, TO-BE process design, and UAT support within onsite, fast-paced banking environments
- Possess hands-on experience using business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN, or similar tools for process modeling, documentation management, and collaboration
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring shared understanding across executives, business users, and technology teams
- Show experience working in onsite banking environments requiring close collaboration, fast decision-making, and hands-on involvement in critical banking initiatives, with fluency in English and Arabic considered a plus
