Job description
Logicom Distribution is seeking a Product Manager for the Personal Systems Group (PSG) portfolio in Dubai, UAE, to drive growth and market share across the UAE and Gulf region. The role is responsible for developing and executing product strategies for PCs, notebooks, workstations, and accessories while managing the complete product lifecycle from introduction to end-of-life. Responsibilities include conducting market research and competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with vendor requirements. The Product Manager will act as the subject matter expert for the PSG portfolio, providing pre-sales and post-sales support, developing sales tools and training sessions, and assisting the Sales Team in closing opportunities. Key duties involve collaborating with vendors on product roadmaps, managing vendor programs, rebates, and incentives, and planning and executing marketing campaigns in partnership with the Marketing Team. The role requires strong relationships with partners and vendors in the UAE and Gulf markets, as well as the ability to monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to prepare detailed management reports. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related field (MBA preferred), with 3–5 years of product management experience in IT distribution, particularly with PSG portfolios of brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Asus. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are required, as well as the ability to travel frequently across the Gulf region. Arabic language skills are an advantage. Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive product strategies for the PSG portfolio aligned with regional market demands, vendor objectives, and company goals
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and emerging trends
- Manage the full product lifecycle from introduction to end-of-life including forecasting, pricing, inventory management, and promotions
- Collaborate with vendors to understand product roadmaps, features, and positioning
- Act as the primary product expert for PSG, providing pre-sales and post-sales support to sales teams and channel partners
- Develop and deliver product training sessions for internal teams and external partners
- Create sales tools, presentations, and collateral to support sales efforts
- Work closely with sales teams to identify and close large opportunities, attending customer meetings as required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with PSG stakeholders, sales, marketing, and product management teams
- Negotiate and manage vendor programs, rebates, and incentives to maximize profitability and market share
- Ensure compliance with vendor requirements and reporting obligations
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions in collaboration with the Marketing Team
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize supply chain
- Track and analyze product performance against targets, implementing corrective actions where needed
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities
- Manage business profitability in line with approved budgets
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3–5 years of product management experience in IT distribution with PSG portfolio exposure (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, etc.)
- Proven track record of managing and growing product categories in the UAE and Gulf region
- Strong relationships with partners and vendors in the UAE and Gulf markets
- Deep understanding of PCs, notebooks, workstations, and accessories market
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and making data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to travel frequently across the UAE and Gulf region
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively
