Key responsibilities

• Supervise bridge substructure works, including bored piles, barrettes, pile caps, piers, abutments and bearing shelves
• Oversee bridge superstructure works, including precast and cast-in-situ girders, segmental box girders, deck slabs, stitch pours, parapets and crash barriers
• Witness post-tensioning operations from duct installation and stressing through to grouting and anchor protection
• Inspect bearing and expansion joint installation, deck waterproofing and asphalt overlay
• Verify heavy-lift operations such as girder launching, segmental erection and launching gantry use
• Monitor cut-and-cover works and TBM structural activities, including segment checks, ring build, annular grouting and ring geometry
• Attend NDT and concrete cube and cylinder testing
• Review method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, material submittals, mix designs and temporary works submittals
• Check survey setting-out, levels, alignment, camber and tolerances against IFC drawings
• Raise NCRs, investigate structural defects and assess remedial proposals for the ARE
• Resolve RFIs and design clarifications with the design team and assess value engineering proposals
• Prepare site instructions and notices under FIDIC and assist with measurement, valuation and EOT and claims evidence
• Enforce the HSE plan on heavy lifts, post-tensioning, work at height, confined spaces and underground works
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with RTA, Dubai Municipality and other authorities
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports and maintain inspection records, photographic logs and as-built documentation
• Lead snagging, taking-over inspections and defects close-out, and confirm as-built and handover documentation is complete
