Job description
The Assistant IT Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Amaala supports the property’s Information Resources objectives by assisting in technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance. The role involves interfacing with vendors, owners, and property staff, ensuring all IT infrastructure, systems, and applications are operational at all times, and maintaining compliance with brand-specific standards, laws, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining computer and network systems, performing backups, managing IT hardware/software, providing email and internet support, cable management, analyzing system information to identify issues and solutions, supporting IR policies, conducting on-site project monitoring, managing vendors, and ensuring asset management. The position emphasizes adherence to the Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards and delivering exceptional technology support to uphold luxury hospitality service excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Use computers and computer systems to set up functions, enter data, and process information
- Monitor, verify, and manage the acquisition and maintenance of property-based IT systems
- Assist in analyzing information, identifying problems, and proposing solutions
- Maintain, inspect, and repair IT equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Verify computer and network operations, perform backups, and maintain administration functions for hardware, operating, and application systems
- Support management of IR activities to ensure functional property infrastructure and applications
- Administer and maintain email and mail systems
- Maintain inventories and manage IT hardware and software
- Provide internet support, cable management, and user communications regarding system updates and issues
- Consult on application issues or hardware/software problems and provide feedback to Lodging IR
- Monitor compliance of events or processes with laws, regulations, and standards
- Enforce IR policies and standards to protect company hardware, software, and resources
- Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish IT work
- Assess property IT needs and ensure compliance with brand standards, budget, and capital requirements
- Determine priorities, schedules, plans, and resources for property projects and monitor progress
- Verify problem reporting, routing, tracking, and resolution while keeping users informed
- Perform on-site monitoring of all IT projects and ensure proper asset management
- Provide technical expertise and apply updated IT knowledge to support property systems
- Communicate information to supervisors and coworkers via telephone, written, email, or in person
- Coordinate property IT efforts, prioritize needs, and manage vendors as escalation point for problem resolution
Experience & skills
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 4 years experience OR 4-year bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with certified trainer and 2 years experience
- Proven experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related professional area
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software setup, system administration, network monitoring, backup/recovery management, IT asset management, and email/internet administration
- Experience managing vendors and providing technical support in a luxury hospitality environment
- Ability to monitor compliance with SOP/LSOP and brand-specific IT standards
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware/software issues and supporting end-user technology needs
