Job description
Presight, the region’s leading big data analytics company powered by AI, is seeking a Senior Specialist - Program Management to support planning, execution, and completion of projects with a focus on Francophone Africa. The role involves assisting project managers with coordination, documentation, progress tracking, and communication across teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, managing resources, tracking risks and issues, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will be fluent in French and English, proficient in project management tools, and have experience with complex multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in international or multicultural environments.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones in coordination with project managers
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports
- Monitor and report project progress, deliverables, and milestone achievements to internal and external stakeholders
- Organize project meetings, including scheduling, agenda creation, and logistics
- Facilitate effective collaboration across project teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors
- Ensure timely distribution and accessibility of project-related updates and documents
- Support resource allocation and team scheduling
- Track team availability, utilization, and highlight resource conflicts
- Collaborate with department leads to secure resources and maintain workload balance
- Identify, document, and follow up on project risks, issues, and interdependencies
- Assist project managers in executing mitigation strategies and contingency planning
- Escalate high-impact risks and unresolved issues in a timely manner
- Support adherence to internal project management standards and best practices
- Conduct quality checks to ensure deliverables meet defined standards
- Participate in project reviews, retrospectives, and lessons-learned sessions
- Help manage stakeholder relationships and communication plans
- Coordinate regular updates, progress reporting, and stakeholder meetings
- Act as a point of contact for project-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Comply with QHSE, Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program/project coordination or support roles
- Fluent in French (spoken and written) – mandatory
- Willingness to travel and work in Francophone African countries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Trello
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions
- Experience working in international or multicultural project teams preferred
- PMP certification is an advantage
- Familiarity with regional travel logistics, procurement practices, or public sector engagement
