Job description
The Presales Engineer ā HPE Aruba at Logicom Distribution plays a key role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer business needs. The role involves providing expert presales technical support, designing and presenting complex networking solutions, and enabling partners through product training and consultation. Working alongside the sales team, the Presales Engineer will leverage technical expertise to demonstrate the value of HPE Arubaās networking portfolio, accelerate deal closure, and drive customer satisfaction. This position requires strong technical acumen, client engagement skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to assess customer requirements and map them to suitable HPE Aruba solutions
- Provide presales technical support, including solution design, architecture reviews, and technical validations
- Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and product demonstrations at customer or partner sites
- Develop and deliver proof of concept (POC) setups to validate solution capabilities for clients
- Translate complex technical details into clear business value propositions for decision-makers
- Work closely with internal sales and channel teams to drive partner enablement and training initiatives
- Assist in responding to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders with accurate technical inputs
- Advise customers on best practices for deploying and managing HPE Aruba solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights into emerging technologies and solution optimization
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on HPE Arubaās portfolio and related networking technologies
- Address technical objections and guide customers through the evaluation and decision-making stages
- Contribute to the sales process by identifying upsell opportunities and supporting account strategy development
- Participate in marketing events and industry forums as a technical representative of HPE Aruba solutions
- Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure successful project handover and implementation support
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Presales Engineer or Technical Consultant in HPE Aruba or similar networking solutions
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, wireless networking, and security technologies
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering technical presentations and workshops
- Ability to build and configure POC environments for customer evaluation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and channel partners
- Experience in consultative selling and developing value-based solution proposals
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong drive for achieving results and exceeding targets
