Job description
The Associate Manager – Corporate Development role operates within one of the UAE's largest and most strategically important industrial companies, supporting the organisation's domestic footprint and international operations as part of the UAE's industrial diversification agenda. The role contributes directly to the definition and execution of corporate strategy by leading high-value strategic and business development workstreams with strong ownership and minimal oversight. The position involves conducting detailed market analysis, sector analysis, and competitor analysis, distilling insights into strategic recommendations, and building advanced financial modelling, valuation models, and Board-level investment materials. The role supports M&A transactions including due diligence, valuation, market assessments, and external stakeholder engagement, while also designing and delivering cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes. The Associate Manager drives cross-functional alignment across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and senior stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives. Additionally, the role includes supporting performance tracking, strategic planning cycles, preparation of executive dashboards, responding to ad-hoc senior leadership requests with high-quality outputs, and coaching analysts while contributing to corporate development, investment analysis, and value creation initiatives within a fast-paced, high-impact industrial environment.

Key responsibilities
- Lead high-value strategic and business development workstreams by contributing to the definition and execution of corporate strategy, managing initiatives with strong ownership and minimal oversight, and ensuring delivery of strategic outcomes aligned with organisational priorities
- Conduct detailed market analysis, sector analysis, and competitor analysis, distill insights into clear strategic recommendations, and support corporate strategy development through data-driven analysis and investment evaluation
- Build advanced financial modelling, valuation models, and corporate finance analyses, and prepare Board-level investment materials to support strategic decision-making and investment opportunities
- Support mergers and acquisitions transactions by conducting due diligence, valuation, market assessments, and coordinating external stakeholder engagement throughout transaction lifecycles
- Design and deliver cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes, supporting value creation and operational efficiency across business units
- Drive alignment across Finance, Operations, Commercial, and other senior stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives and corporate development priorities
- Support performance tracking, strategic planning cycles, and preparation of executive dashboards to monitor key initiatives and track strategic performance metrics
- Respond to ad-hoc senior leadership requests by delivering high-quality, insight-driven outputs under tight deadlines, while coaching and developing analysts and supporting team capability development
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in mergers and acquisitions advisory, corporate development, private equity, or investment banking environments with exposure to strategic transactions
- Possess strong financial modelling, valuation, and corporate finance skills, including experience building investment models and supporting strategic decision-making
- Show proven experience managing cross-functional workstreams and engaging senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Commercial functions
- Demonstrate experience supporting mergers and acquisitions transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and market assessments
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field relevant to corporate development and investment analysis
- Demonstrate experience in performance tracking, strategic planning cycles, and preparation of executive dashboards for senior leadership
- Show ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while delivering high-quality outputs and maintaining strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate structured and organised approach to corporate development initiatives, including experience supporting cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives
