Job description
The Accounting Control Lead at Tabby will play a pivotal role in strengthening internal control frameworks and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting for KSA operations. This full-time onsite position is focused on safeguarding accounting completeness and supporting audit readiness. The role involves overseeing monthly and quarterly closings, maintaining accounting controls over financial assets and liabilities, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include managing journal entries, resolving suspense and clearing account issues, preparing audit-ready reconciliations, and collaborating with finance teams across FinOps, FP&A, and Treasury. The candidate will support audit deliverables, enhance the month-end closing process, and drive automation of reconciliations. Preferred candidates have 5ā8 years of experience in fintech, banking, or Big 4, with strong expertise in IFRS, SOX 404 or ICFR, ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly closing process ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions
- Maintain and strengthen accounting controls over financial assets, liabilities, and regulatory capital
- Lead the preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations with audit-ready documentation
- Develop and enforce accounting control policies and procedures compliant with IFRS and regulatory requirements
- Manage manual journal entries with strict documentation, approval, and posting protocols
- Monitor and resolve suspense and clearing account balances promptly
- Identify and escalate control weaknesses, accounting risks, or reconciliation breaks and implement corrective actions
- Support the preparation of audit deliverables related to general ledger accounts and financial controls
- Drive process improvements for month-end closings, reconciliation automation, and control strengthening
- Collaborate with FinOps, Statutory Reporting, FP&A, and Treasury to ensure strong accounting governance
Experience & skills
- 5ā8 years of experience in accounting, finance control, audit, or general ledger management
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
- Proven experience managing closings, reconciliations, and substantiation frameworks
- Experience with control frameworks such as SOX 404 or ICFR is a strong plus
- Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA highly preferred
- ERP experience preferred; Oracle NetSuite is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills including reconciliation tools, pivot tables, and data validation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
