Job description
Sales orders, pricing, delivery, goods issue, billing, returns and credits make up the Order-to-Cash cycle this Enterprise Applications Analyst looks after in SAP SD at Sephora Middle East. The role mixes hands-on functional work with project and programme management, including implementing SAP SD in a retail setting. On the functional side, you configure and troubleshoot, work with delivery documents (VL01N), stock checks and PGI, and trace interface issues through IDocs, messages and APIs. New requirements go through fit-gap and impact analysis, with standard SAP capabilities favoured over unnecessary customisation. Projects run from solution assessment through SIT/UAT, Go/No-Go, deployment, hypercare and operational handover, using PMP/PRINCE2, Agile or SAP Activate as suits. Regional business teams, global technology teams, SAP delivery teams and system integrators need coordinating across a matrix structure. Significant incidents call for root-cause analysis across SAP and connected systems, with corrective actions agreed with support teams and vendors. Candidates bring 5 to 7 years of enterprise project and programme management in large-scale retail, hands-on SAP SD experience and PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification. S/4HANA migration experience is highly advantageous, and Arabic or French is a plus.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage enterprise application projects from requirements and solution assessment through SIT/UAT, Go/No-Go, deployment, hypercare and handover
- Own project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, resources and governance across a matrix environment
- Apply PMP/PRINCE2, Agile and SAP Activate practices for predictable delivery and effective change and release management
- Analyse issues across sales orders, pricing, delivery, goods issue, billing, returns and the full Order-to-Cash cycle
- Configure and troubleshoot SAP supply chain and logistics processes, including VL01N delivery documents, stock checks and PGI
- Assess business requirements through fit-gap and impact analysis across SAP SD, inventory, logistics, Finance and connected applications
- Promote standard SAP capabilities over unnecessary customisation
- Investigate interfaces and integrations, including IDocs, messages and APIs, to gauge the impact of changes and incidents
- Evaluate proposed solutions for functional fit, integration dependencies, feasibility, risk and total cost of ownership
- Coordinate root-cause analysis for significant incidents across SAP and connected systems
- Ensure new solutions are operationally ready with testing, documentation, service transition and post-go-live support
- Build relationships with business stakeholders, Finance, Retail Operations, Supply Chain and global SAP teams
- Explain complex SAP and integration topics in terms that support clear business decisions
- Direct SAP partners, system integrators and vendors against scope, quality, milestones and service commitments
Experience & skills
- Bring 5 to 7 years of experience in enterprise-scale project and programme management
- Demonstrate proven programme management in large-scale retail, ideally across multi-country, matrixed environments
- Show hands-on SAP SD experience in retail across OTC, supply chain, pricing, sales orders, delivery, billing and returns
- Offer hands-on S/4HANA implementation or migration exposure and an understanding of ECC versus S/4HANA
- Have experience in fit-gap and impact analysis and in managing testing, deployment, hypercare and support
- Carry PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent certification
- Possess ITIL, service transition or SAP Activate experience (advantageous)
- Know Middle East retail commercial, tax, pricing and operational requirements (preferred)
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business or a related field
