Job description
The Senior Manager β Market Access is responsible for defining and executing regional and global market access strategies to ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement, and institutional uptake across Middle East and Africa markets. The role provides strategic governance on pricing decisions, supports launch excellence for key brands and pipeline assets, and builds strong relationships with payers and healthcare authorities. Acting as a cross-functional leader, this position aligns commercial, regulatory, medical, and supply chain teams to deliver sustainable access outcomes and competitive market positioning.

Key responsibilities
- Define global and regional market access priorities for key brands and pipeline assets to ensure consistent pricing and reimbursement strategies.
- Develop and implement Country Access Plans in collaboration with local commercial and regulatory teams.
- Guide pricing governance and reimbursement strategies to achieve sustainable and competitive positioning.
- Support launch excellence initiatives, including early payer engagement for new products, biosimilars, and specialty launches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government payers, insurers, and healthcare authorities.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders around access priorities to minimize delays and enhance launch readiness.
- Introduce practical access frameworks, tools, and best practices across local markets.
- Monitor policy changes, pricing trends, and competitor activities to proactively manage risks.
- Track access KPIs and institutional penetration metrics with commercial leadership.
- Analyze pricing benchmarks, competitor positioning, and reimbursement environments to inform strategic decisions.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- 5β10 years of managerial or leadership experience in market access or related functions.
- Bachelorβs degree in Pharmacy or related scientific discipline.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of pricing and reimbursement systems across Middle East and Africa.
- Experience with formulary inclusion, tenders, and institutional access for branded generics or biosimilars.
- Practical knowledge of health economics and value-based messaging.
- Proven experience supporting product launches from access or commercial perspective.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
