Job description
Commissioning tasks across the electrical discipline get implemented against work standards and procedures under this Lead Commissioning Engineer's direction. You guide several electrical engineers and supervisors on technical issues, directing daily activities tied to SAT, energization and functional testing. Technical support and problem resolution span a range of equipment, with QA/QC engaged directly to keep company quality procedures and audit requests, both internal and client-facing, on track. Issues get analyzed to trigger appropriate corrective action, reported through to line management along with any design failures or discrepancies worth capturing as lessons learned. Client interfacing happens as required, alongside internal project meetings that keep commissioning progress aligned to schedule. Testing documentation stays available to the testing team, with field engineering coordinated on any corrective action the documents need. A team of technicians gets led through commissioning activities, with functional and operational tests undertaken across various systems. Method statements, procedures and routines get prepared where required, and work progress gets reported regularly, flagging potential problems or delays along with recommended solutions. Vendor activities are planned, monitored and supported as needed, and temporary supplies and commissioning spares stay adequate for subsystem testing, all within the bounds of HSE Standard compliance.
